This was the first leg workout from the Annihilation Wave program. I can already tell these are going to be some tough workouts!
Lying Ball Leg Curls goal is to activate the hamstrings before squats – 3 sets 20 reps
Barbell Back Squats 8 reps of 135lbs, 155lbs, 185lbs, then 3 sets of 205lbs. This weight was lower than I thought, but with the 3 second descents and one second at the bottom, the 8 reps were tough
Smith Machine Vertical Leg Press 3 sets of 20 reps at 265lbs. The 20 reps really brought blood into the quads. In between sets I stretched the quads for 20 secs each leg.
Bulgarian Split Squats 3 sets of 8 reps with body weight. I did not use any additional weight on these. After the 8 reps an iso hold of 15 secs in the bottom position.
Stiff Legged Deadlifts 3 sets 10 reps at 110lbs
This was a terrific workout. I am really looking forward to this program!
